He's back after a depressing weekend...The American Gooner.

Hello guys. It has been a while since my last blog post! I have some spare time so I feel it was a good time to write about the Arsenal. Last weekend against Norwich was one of the most frustrating and emotionally draining matches in recent memory. The empty feeling after watching their equalizing goal is not something I'd like to feel on a regular basis. We went from being in complete control of our own destiny to relying on Aston Villa and Manchester City. Fortunately, the football gods smiled upon us for a moment and we are back in the driver's seat.

This weekend against West Brom is a tricky fixture. The old "they have nothing to play for" can be thrown out the window. This will be Roy's last match as manager of the Baggies before he takes the helm of England full-time. They'll want to send "Woy" out on a positive not. The boys HAVE to show the urgency and push to match that of the opponents, unlike against Norwich.

Tactically, there are several ways to approach this match. Personally, I would be wary of completely moving to the 4-4-2 we showed at the end of the Norwich match, unless of course they have been covering that extensively in training. That being said, I would not play Ramsey in the Arteta role. He has shown during the run-in that he isn't suited for that role, and now is not the time to take that risk. If Jenkinson is ready to roll then put him at right back and play Coq for Ramsey. There were too many times where both Aaron and Song were pushing very far forward and leaving great counter attacking opportunities. With our 4-3-3 we cannot afford to leave big gaps between the midfield in defense to let men run into.
